I know there are a lot of questions right now and things that I am not able to answer. I can say that I am no longer affiliated with the Crimson Fellowship, but I am not sure of the future of the program. I am sure someone will update you with information when it becomes available. This will probably be my last post here. Although I will miss my blog and will probably start another one for fun. I will post the info for it as soon as I have it. If you feel the urge to say hello I can can be contacted via email at sillypinkdragon@gmail.com.

Anyway. Thanks to you all for making the Crimson Fellowship the awesome program that it is. I will certainly miss it and all of you!

Saturday is going to be a great day for events! Guilds on two different servers are hosting events this coming Saturday.

I got an email today from Mourngrym over at the Woefeather Conclave letting me know that Warrior Nation is hosting The Great Gnome Race. You can check out details for the race over at their Vanguard Forums. Be sure to check it out, it promises to be Gnomtastic!

Also this coming Saturday The Black Company of the Florendyl Server is hosting another pvp tournament. Their first one was a huge success. I am sure the second will be even better. Be sure to get the entire scoop over at their forums. Are you tough enough?

My cable modem is being cranky and I am not sure if I will be able to make it to either of these events :(. However, if anyone manages to get some great pictures please feel free to send them to me at crismonfellowship@sigilgames.com and I will be happy to post them. Have an awesome weekend!

As promised I went on a tour of Telon. While I was getting screenshots I noticed how many girls there were that I certainly would not want to mess with. I will not tell you who they are or where they can be found, that would ruin the adventure for you. I will just show them to you and let you decide if you want to go looking for them or not!!

Mixed-Up Monday.

Well today is Monday, and its grey outside and I have a case of the Mondays. :) Not much going on over this past weekend so I gathered up some shots of this and that. Most have them have been sitting around waiting to be posted.

This is my attempt at artful photography. It was taken underwater somewhere on the Qa River during beta.

I am listening to Ozzy's No More Tears on iTunes and Zombie Stomp came on. It reminded me of this great screenshot Fellin sent me of him having some fun with players in what looks like Veskal's Exchange or somewhere equally as Elven. Brains...Brains...Brains

A lovely pic taken at Skyra and Nevox's wedding last week. It was a beautiful ceremony preformed by Joshuko. And because it was on Tharridon it was followed by an all out brawl of the bride, groom and entire wedding party. Don't you just love traditional weddings!!

Last night was our all hands meeting. We had an awesome turn out, thank you to all those who could attend. Chian took some screenshots for us. I took some too but mine are missing elbows! The meeting went smoothly thank you to all who organized it. It was a big success. I especially liked the trivia, although I wonder about Joshuko...she knows too much. Anyway, we know more about chex mix, surf boards, and dreamboats!

Well today is Wednesday and that means its time for some screenshots full of Beta goodness! I dug deep today to find some of these. I also have a nice shot sent to me by Squire Myrhiane. I do not think it is really from beta but it is very pretty and I wanted to share it.

This is one of the very first pictures I have of KJ in fact I think she was named Kj then as the game still allowed two letter names. The game still allowed all Wood Elves to look exactly the same as well. ;) This was taken in New Targonor 12-11-2005.

This was is a little more recent. I am in this one and took it with a second computer. If you look I am that teeny tiny gal up on the swamp flyer. This was actually part of a group of shots we took as concepts for some promotional materials. It looks kind of similar. :) The shot was taken 7-27-06

This shot was taken taken outside Vol Tuniel on 4-14-2006.

This was taken in The Serpent of Sihari on 9-1-06. We were working on group combat shots. Glip and Elrar were in this shot although I can not remember who is who.

This shot of a beautiful waterfall was sent to me by Squire Myrhiane. I am not sure of its location nor do I know the date it was taken. It is gorgeous nonethless.

On a side note I would like to welcome our newest Squirelings! Squire Gromko will be joining the Phoenix Cluster and Squire Jmar will be joining us on Pegasus. Welcome to both of you.

After a day at the races I donned my beach attire and headed out to The Isle of Elionia over on Woefeather for The Order of the Hammer's Beach Party. This was a great meet and greet event open to all Woefeather players. There was a really nice turn out some arriving by boat, others making the daring swim out to the island. We all munched on fox-tail franks, badger burgers and yummy pie. There was combat, games, dancing, and even some fireworks.

As the sun went down we gathered around the camp fire. Okay we didn't really have a camp fire but Sir-Kiryo was quick on his feet and improvised for us.

The race was embraced!

It was a fine day in the Cliffs of Ghelgad this past Sunday (a much nicer day for a race then it was in Boston!) There was a very nice turn out on Flamehammer for CTNT's Embrace the Race II. There were two events held. One was a sprint out to the Beacon of Hafeez Al'Azzimat then back to the docks in Khal and the other was a hide-n-seek type of event where the racers had to find Verath who was hidden I think under a pile of hay near some smelly camels in Khal.

Friday night was our first Knight Ceremony of the weekend. A bunch of folks piled on the Tharridon Server to watch Squire Hondra recite his vows and pass into Knighthood. As usual there was much hoopla and merriment when a crowd this size gathers.

What a Weekend!

Wow what a busy weekend! I was able to make all of the planned events this weekend and boy did I have a great time. Starting out the weekend on Friday night and Saturday morning with two Knighting Ceremonies and finishing up on Sunday with some exciting races and a really fun beach party. I had lots of people contribute photos so expect some furious posting over the next few days.

Before I get to what happened over the weekend I wanted to take a moment to mention an upcoming event. Normally I would post it on Friday, but since the event is taking place on Thursday Friday would be a little too late!

Opposing Force on the Hilsbury Server has announced that they will be hosting an all-server Guild Party. All Hilsbury players both guilded and non-guilded are invited to attend a party at Dark Horse Downs in Lomshir Plains this coming Thursday. For more information please feel free to their web site.

A big thanks to Opposing Force for hosting this great event. Please come out and show your support!

Mourngrym over at Woefeather Conclave sent me an email to come visit. So I took the liberty of popping over to see what this site was all about. I was pleasntly surprised. It is an awesome community site for the Woefeather players. While I was there I noticed that Woefeather Server is having a guild hosted community event this coming Sunday. Order of the Hammer is hosting a Beach Party on the Isle of Elionia check out the Woefeather Conclave site for more info.

I also noticed over at Silky Venom there was an announcement for an event on The Flamehammer Server. I stopped by the Flamehammer Server and spoke to Verath of CTNT Guild concerning the event. He said that indeed CTNT was hosting a race this coming Sunday as well and that players are welcome to stop by their website for more information.

We also have two Knighting Ceremonies this weekend in the Crimson Fellowship so it is indeed set to be an exciting weekend. There certainly will be lots to talk about next week. So if you play on Woefeather or Flamehammer and are looking for something out of the ordinary this weekend be sure to check out these two awesome guild sponsered community events!

Way Back Wednesday

Before I was Liaison to the Crimson Fellowship, actually before there was a Crimson Fellowship I wore many hats in the CS department. In fact we often assisted in areas outside of CS while Vanguard was still in beta. One of the things I most enjoyed was helping the art department by taking screenshots. Sometimes getting the perfect shot is not always easy... heh who am I kidding it is never easy. For every one shot that is approved to be released 300 are not. But, just because they are not perfect does not mean they are not a great representation of the game in that particular stage of development. So I saved them... all. Some of the models have undergone a change. Some of the areas these are from have been revamped or are completely gone or renamed. And some of them can be found in game exactly as they were when these shots were taken.

In addition to the Knight Ceremony we had on Friday there was a server wide event on The Florendyl Server over the weekend. Our resident Lifestyles reporter Chian sent me information on a PVP tournament hosted by The Black Company Guild of Florendyl on Saturday April 7th. Players of all levels and classes were invited to attend. Read the announcement and a listing of the winners at Silky Venom or Ten Ton Hammer. According to guild representative Verrik there were 23 participants and many more on-lookers. Chian reports that there was much excitement and fun had by all.

Well it has been a rough few days for me. I have been down for the count with strep throat and a sinus infection. I missed a lot of fun while I was out. Thankfully Chian had the foresight to take pics for me! We had our latest promotion to Knight on Friday. The former Squire-Avendaloria will now be known as Lady-Avendaloria! They were surprised by the wedding rings we were able to provide them with. They are the first recipients of these rings. A Special thanks to GM-Zrakle for attending. These are shots of one of the very first events in Vanguard. I believe there were some role play type things at Halloween but, that was before my time. This is the first time we were actually able to spawn NPCs. They did not have any pathing yet so they just kind of stood there waiting to be beat down. But Dae did try to give it a little story. Basically it was a baddie invasion at Themwar Shield. I think nearly the whole server showed up to defend it. These shots were taken December 29, 2005.

Sir-Jarasay was pondering why he was not in any of the previous shots. I was unsure myself. I was however able to dig up this shot of him. He was modeling our cloaks the first day they got added to the game. He was testing them to make sure they could be traded to and worn by CF members. I am not sure why he was making that grumpy face at me! *hugs Jarasay*

On a side note today is Verityn's 1 year annivesary. It is hard to believe he has been walking the roads of Telon for a year now. Time sure does fly when you are having fun. Make sure you give him a congrats when you see him!

The follow is an excerpt of a conversation I had with a friend of mine while having tea this afternoon:

Sometime during the night a parchment was slipped under my door. It was sealed with a signet which I did not seem to recall. I donned my spectacles and took a seat by the fire to read the document. Carefully I broke the crimson wax seal as to preserve it for later study. As the parchment unfolded these words magically appeared… “We have emerged from the shadows.” And then once again the parchment was blank. I took the wax seal into my study and started searching my records for an indication of who may have sent this mysterious document. After perusing numerous dusty tomes and crumbling scrolls I finally came across a copy of the symbol from the seal. It appeared to be hastily sketched and had this notation next to it: The secretive Crimson Fellowship is one of the most exclusive organizations on Telon. The Knights of the Fellowship wander the world settling disputes, righting wrongs and on occasion recruiting an individual who shows exceptional potential. The origins of the Fellowship are cloaked in secrecy but many believe they predate the Cataclysm. This certainly seems likely given the rumored base of the Crimson Fellowship: an island fortress secluded behind eternal storms and magical wards.

We conversed at length about its meaning and could come to only one conclusion. The elusive Crimson Fellowship has emerged from secrecy to walk amongst us. Details are sketchy at this time and I am sure as the days pass there will be more information available. Be on the lookout for its members. Rumor has it they are allowed to identify themselves and will be wandering Telon with smiling faces. They will be willing to lend an ear, offer advice, and could be possibly recruiting. This is indeed exciting news and I welcome the members of the Crimson Fellowship to our growing community.

In the Early Days

While I was digging around for Chicken photos yesterday I stumbled across these. They are some of the earliest I have of the Crimson Fellowship. They were taken in what appears to be Lomshir on 8/8/06. If anyone has any that are earlier please send them to me I would love to see them!

There are a couple of familiar faces that are still around Kosi, Chian and Calree.

And of course their Dwarf of a ring leader the then Sir-Zrakle.

Ohh this shot shows off Z's big ale gut. He is proud of that you know!

Oh and a big welcome to our newest Squirelings: Squire-Llythe and Squire-Myrhiane they are both joining our Phoenix Team, Squire-Katu will be joining Pegasus, Squire-Minolder is joining the Cyclops Goblins... that really gives a great mental picture a goblin with one big eye in the center hehe and lastly but certainly not least Squire-Ehrlich will be joining the Manticore team. Welcome to all of you we are glad that you could join us!

Just a quick update Lady-Chian found this on from 7/6/06. Looks like everyone one was hanging out in the then new housing. Even got Vlad in this one. ~ Thanks Chian!

So Sir-Kulggen suggested there was not enough Chicken. And I am perfectly happy to oblige him. Everyone needs a little more Chicken in their lives. :)

These shots are all from Beta I have lots more tucked away that I will share from time to time. Leto, one of our long time Beta testers and the current guild leader of Silky Venom once told me that I kept the best memories of Vanguard. It is nice to be able to share them!
